Robert B. Folk, DDS, MS
Dr. Rob Folk is a native of the Pacific Northwest. He completed his undergraduate studies at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA in 1994. Dr. Folk then went on to receive his D.D.S. from the University of Washington in 1998 where he graduated "with honors" and was awarded membership in the honorary dental society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Following his dental training, Dr. Folk was commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Navy.
His first duty station in the Navy was overseas in Keflavik, Iceland where he served for 3 years. He then transferred to Bethesda, MD where he completed his Endodontic specialty training at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School and received a Masters Degree in Health Sciences from The George Washington University in Washington D.C. in 2003.
Following his specialty training, Dr. Folk had tours of duty as the Endodontics Department Head at the Pentagon, in Washington D.C. and the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, in San Diego, CA. After serving his country, Dr. Folk moved into full-time private practice in San Diego.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Endodontics and is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the California Association of Endodontists and the San Diego County Dental Society.
Dr. Folk and his wife, Dr. Gretchen Folk, currently reside in San Diego, and have two children. In his spare time, Dr. Folk enjoys spending time with his family, running, surfing, hiking and backpacking.
